Find my plaque

One of the biggest fund raisers for Clevedon Pier has been its now famous Plank Sponsorship. Since the Pier was re-built in 1989, well over 9,500 brass plaques have been donated to raise funds.

The plaques come in various sizes and can be engraved with any specific words that you require. They may just be an individual's name, a group, club, society or company or a plaque in memory of a loved one or the celebration of a new birth or anniversary, are just a few examples.

Over 9,500 plaques have been issued since the start of the scheme. We keep records of all the plaques laid, including their location on the pier. Try searching our new plaques database.

Plaque on left bench nearest the toll house...

Beautiful iron pier of the silvery sea
All your numerous arches and pillars are so grand to me
And pagoda and legs which seem to the eye
To be almost reaching up to the sky.
The greatest wonder it must be
And a great beautification to the Severn Sea
Most beautiful may I boast
Near by Clevedon and the Somerset coast.
